Let’s dive in!
What is Camp Margaritaville?
Camp Margaritaville is a line of luxury RV parks and one of the newest additions to the “Margaritaville” brand. The brand has an extensive portfolio of restaurants, hotels, resorts and other travel industry facilities. Like the brand’s other offerings, Camp Margaritaville sets new standards in hospitality for its customers.
This RV park offers everything guests need for a luxurious stay in their RV. These big-rig friendly resorts make it easy to get around the campground and relax.
They are also kid and pet friendly. So don’t be afraid to come with your two-legged and four-legged kids.
The first Camp Margaritaville opened in the spring of 2019. While there are currently only a handful of locations, the company is looking to expand quickly. Jim Wiseman, president of Camp Margaritaville’s development department, described the expansion to Insider as a “happy accident.”
The brand was perfectly positioned to expand into the RV segment just as the industry was experiencing a massive surge in demand due to the 2020 events.
This has allowed the company to generate a tremendous amount of revenue and accelerate its expansion. Their goal is to open 30 to 50 locations nationwide in the next five years.
Is Camp Margaritaville owned by Jimmy Buffett?
The Camp Margaritaville brand is part of Jimmy Buffett’s mega-restaurant brand, Margaritaville. However, the locations are independently owned but licensed under the larger brand.
They follow the laid-back, island atmosphere made famous by Buffett’s 1977 song “Margaritaville.” They embrace a carefree lifestyle with endless palm trees and bottomless drinks.
The resorts and other businesses associated with the brand are popular with those looking to get away from it all. These “Parrotheads” enjoy the laid-back, “It’s Five O’Clock” atmosphere offered by the brand and its locations.
How many Camp Margaritavilles are there?
Camp Margaritaville has four locations, but they are expanding rapidly. You can find a camp in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee; Buford, Georgia; Auburndale, Florida; and Crystal Beach, Texas. However, future locations will include Breaux Bridge, Louisiana, and Mount Pocono, Pennsylvania.
Camp Margaritaville has some massive expansion plans. Jim Wiseman mentioned in an interview with Insider that the brand plans to open 30 to 50 locations within five years.
Instead of starting from scratch, the company is strategically choosing to breathe new life into campgrounds that have seen better days. This allows them to grow their brand quickly and efficiently.
How much does it cost to camp at Camp Margaritaville?
Unfortunately, if you want to stay at Camp Margaritaville, don’t expect it to be cheap. Depending on the location and time of year, campsites cost between $80 and $200 per night.
However, you’ll be paying for much more than just a campsite. These resorts offer many amenities, and just about any camper will find something they like.
Reasons Why You Should Stay At Camp Margaritaville
Still on the fence about whether this laid-back, island-style campground is right for you? Let’s take a look at some reasons why you should stay at Camp Margaritaville on your next RV vacation.

As with many Margaritaville locations, the luxury accommodations at Camp Margaritaville resorts steal the show. The spacious and well-maintained RV sites offer full hookups. These resorts spare no expense in providing a luxurious experience for their guests.
If you don’t own an RV, you can also rent cabana cabins. These have fully equipped kitchens, spacious living areas and comfortable sleeping accommodations.
With LED TVs and high-speed Wi-Fi, you can keep up with news and sports or get some work done during your stay.

On-site catering
Once you arrive at the resort, you have the chance to never leave for the duration of your stay. You can even use the on-site restaurant and bars for your food and beverage needs.
Each resort offers a unique food and beverage experience, but you can be sure that your stomach and taste buds will be satisfied.
Entertainment and Activities
You probably won’t be bored at these RV resorts. Camp Margaritaville offers something for everyone. You can expect a pool, playground, pickleball courts and a lazy river.
In addition, each resort offers an extensive program of activities and entertainment, from arts and crafts to live music. Water-access resorts offer boating, waterfront dining and cruises. Seriously, there is so much to see and do that you may have to extend your stay to experience it all.
Convenient Locations
When you look at the locations of these resorts, it’s easy to see why they were chosen. The Florida location is less than an hour from Walt Disney World and hundreds of other popular Central Florida tourist activities.
The other destinations may not be near the giant mouse and his many friends, but they are near popular destinations that have much to offer guests.
Family friendly ambience
While some RV resorts are less family friendly, this is not one of them. These resorts celebrate families and offer something for all ages to enjoy during their stay. Whether you’re 9 or 90, you can enjoy the many activities and welcoming environment.
Kids can let off steam on the playgrounds, and all ages can compete on the pickleball courts. Camp Margaritaville RV Resorts does a great job of making everyone feel welcome and a part of the community.
Pet Friendly
Camp Margaritaville RV Resorts don’t ignore your four-legged friends. Their “Barkaritaville” dog parks provide a place for the furry family members to play.
As you might expect, these are not your ordinary dog park. They have a variety of play areas and a dog washing station. While we can’t guarantee that your dog will enjoy being bathed, we are sure that he will have a lot of fun with the other dogs at the campsite.

One of the best things about RVing is the community it provides. Camp Margaritaville RV Resorts recognize this and offer multiple fire pits in a central area.
This is a great opportunity for friends and family to gather and make memories or new friendships.
Combined with the glow of a crackling fire and the sounds of live music, it creates the perfect social atmosphere.
One of our favorite components of the social atmosphere, however, is happy hour. For some people, it’s easier to make new friends when it’s always five o’clock.

Should you stay at Camp Margaritaville?
When it comes to creating a relaxing and luxurious RV experience, it doesn’t get much better than Camp Margaritaville. If that’s what you want to experience when camping, you’ll love it here.
However, if you prefer a more natural or rustic camping experience, you will be sorely disappointed with the modern advances these sites offer. Overall, Camp Margaritaville is receiving rave reviews, and we can’t wait to see more sites.
