The Pebble Flow: A new electric motorhome

Many motorhome manufacturers are interested in the potential of an electric motorhome. Although there is no fully self-sufficient electric camper yet, the Pebble Camper is a promising step in this direction.

This new camper will be unveiled to the public at the LA Auto Show from November 17 to 26, 2023.

This new camper (known as the Pebble Flow) is packed with intriguing features.

It really does look like a campervan of the future, with a sleek profile and more gadgets and technology than you can shake a stick at.

Pebble has been designed to eliminate some common problems of the motorhome lifestyle, such as campsite set-up, towing issues, and limited power when camping off-grid.

The Pebble Flow is an exciting new development in the field of electric vehicles.

The new models are expensive, but you can pre-order them today if you want to be at the forefront of this motorhome revolution.

What makes it different?

“At Pebble, we automate the hardest parts of the RV experience with the same technologies that power the most advanced automotive innovations, making the whole experience simply effortless and magical. If you know how to use an iPhone, you’ll know how to use our product.”

Bingrui Yang, Pebble CEO

A Pebble campervan is unlike anything you’ve seen before. The vehicle looks more like a science fiction prototype than a real caravan you can take into the woods! But in 2024, they’ll be ready to hit the road.

Pebble’s flagship product is the Pebble Flow. This is a travel trailer that can accommodate up to four people at a time. It is available in three exterior colors: orange, warm grey, and powder blue.

It is a fully electric vehicle that can be charged from various power sources. Conventional connections at the campsite are sufficient, but you can also use an electric charger at home.

The vehicle also has solar panels, a powerful inverter, and a battery so that it can generate its own power when camping off-grid.

In fact, this system is so efficient that you can camp for up to seven days if you rely solely on the campervan’s solar power.

Floor plan + main features

The floor plan is also sleek, modern, and comfortable. At the front of the floor plan is a combination dining area and fold-down bed.

It is the perfect place to eat and relax and can be converted into an additional sleeping area at the end of the day.

Next, there is a hallway that leads to the back of the caravan. On one side of this hallway is the cook’s kitchen. It has a 4-in-1 microwave, a large fridge, a deep sink, and plenty of cupboards above and below.

Thanks to the removable hob and the large window that can be opened, the kitchen can also be extended outside, making it easy to get food in and out!

The bathroom is located opposite the kitchen. This room has glass walls that can be switched from opaque to transparent at the touch of a button. It has bright, warm LED lights, a shower and a soaking toilet.

The back of this Pebble campervan is a customizable space that can serve as either a master bedroom or a home office!

It converts into a double bed or folds up along the walls to create a nice open space equipped with a desk, multiple power outlets, and Starlink internet connection.

Towing the Pebble Flow

Most RVers will agree that towing is one of the worst parts of the whole endeavor. It’s a nightmare to properly align and connect the trailer hitch.

Once you’re on the road, the trailer slows you down and can lead to trailer sway, fuel starvation, and much more.

But what if I told you that the Pebble Flow was designed to solve all of these problems? It may sound impossible because these problems are the natural result of towing a heavy vehicle.

But the founders of the Pebble Motorhome have gone above and beyond to create a great customer experience.

Magic hitch

First of all, there is the Magic Hitch. Each motorhome is equipped with advanced technology and programming (almost as much as a self-driving car).

So it’s able to recognize the tow vehicle’s hitch, align itself, and make the connection – all by itself. It sounds too good to be true, but it really is that simple.

Remote-controlled parking

Reversing and parking with a caravan is also a difficult process.

You’ve probably wished more than once that you could just move the caravan yourself without having to deal with the strange angles of a car hitch. Here too, the Pebble team will help you!

Every Pebble Flow trailer is equipped with a remote control.

Once you have reached your campsite, you can unhitch your towing vehicle and maneuver the camper into position. It has a twin-engine drivetrain that allows it to negotiate tight bends with ease.

Simple towing technology

Finally, you can drive with a Pebble motorhome in tow with ease. In addition to their streamlined profile, these vehicles are equipped with an Active Propulsion Assist system that enables them to pull their own weight.

This puts less strain on your towing vehicle, especially on steep slopes and in windy conditions. If you are towing with an electric vehicle, this technology also helps to increase your range!

Camping at home or off-grid

Like any campervan, the Pebble Flow is designed for traveling. But as a bonus, it can also be used when it’s parked at your home!

This living space can become a natural extension of your everyday life, whether you’re exploring new places or staying safe at home.

Off-grid camping

As already mentioned, every Pebble camper can generate its own electricity if there is no power connection nearby.

There are solar panels on the roof that can be activated while driving or parked, so you don’t have to waste an hour of sunlight.

If you like spending the night outdoors, this caravan could be just the thing for you. It allows you to camp off-grid for up to a week at a time.

Thanks to the 240 V AC output, the vehicle battery can also be used to power other devices. You can even charge an electric vehicle with a battery like this!

What’s more, setting up a campsite has never been easier. Pebble has developed the InstaCamp system, which fully automates several functions.

Once you park, all you need to do is activate this feature and watch the magic happen.

With InstaCamp, your caravan automatically extends the leveling jacks, lowers the steps, extends the awning, unlocks the door and sets the perfect interior temperature.

The whole thing is ready for use within a few minutes without you having to do anything.

Use at home

Of course, this caravan is great for camping, but you don’t have to store it when you’re back home. The space is so clean and comfortable that you might want to use it all year round!

Thanks to the battery and solar power, you can use it as a backup charger if the electricity in your home ever goes out. It can also be a nice place to get out of the house and enjoy some privacy.

It can be a home office, an extra room, a place for guests to sleep or even an Airbnb! You can earn some extra money by renting out this space to travelers.

The Pebble app

All advanced functions such as remote parking and InstaCamp can be operated via the Pebble app.

This is a user-friendly app that allows you to adjust the temperature, lighting and much more. It also monitors your systems, such as the battery charge and water tank level.

It’s an all-in-one app that gives you full control of your Pebble camper. You can find out more about how it works at pebblelife.com.

Pre-orders are now possible

If you’re interested in claiming one of the new Pebble Flow models for yourself, you can place an order today.

The cost starts at $109,000, but many of the improved features are included in the Magic Pack. This is an upgrade and costs $125,000 in total.

Pebble is expecting a large number of pre-orders, so you will need to pay a $500 deposit to get your place in line.

This fee is fully refundable, so you don’t have to commit just yet. The company expects all new models to be delivered by the end of 2024, so the RV revolution is just around the corner.
