This Fully Electric Travel Trailer Is Available To Reserve Now

The Lightship L1 Travel Trailer is fully electric

Every year the RV industry is flooded with new floorplans and accessories. Manufacturers fight to stay on top with the hottest new product.

This year, the competition just got a whole lot more exciting. Lightship has turned the RV world upside down with the introduction of its all-electric camper. Not only does it look like no other RV on the market, it really is like no other RV, and you can reserve it today!

An all-electric travel trailer

Lightship’s goal is to explore the outdoors while preserving it for future generations. In combination with EV trucks, the L1 travel trailer enables emission-free travel!

Knowing that electric vehicles are the future, the Lightship team focused on the RV industry rather than developing another passenger vehicle. Instead of designing an RV that is compatible with solar power or can be equipped with solar panels, Lightship started with an all-electric platform and built this beautiful camper on top of it.

Make no mistake, the L1 travel trailer is not just an electric trailer disguised as a camper, but a true motorhome. From the quality interior and thoughtful storage spaces to the solid construction suitable for rugged outdoor use, the L1 is undoubtedly a vehicle to be taken seriously.

A zero emission camper

The RV space has definitely made a shift toward green camping with the use of solar; however, gas generators, propane use, and terrible fuel economy when towing are still very much present.

Electric trucks are now an option for towing vehicles, and campers are slowly making the switch where possible. Of course, an electric vehicle as a tow vehicle combined with the L1 electric travel trailer is the ultimate combination, but gasoline and diesel owners can also benefit greatly.

Towing an RV with gasoline-powered vehicles results in significantly lower fuel consumption and higher emissions. Lightship has solved these problems in three ways.

Lightweight

The weight of a motorhome has a significant impact on the size of the vehicle and the amount of fuel needed to tow it. With a gross vehicle weight rating of 7500 pounds, the L1 packs 27 feet of travel trailer into a lightweight package.

Both electric and gasoline vehicles will have no trouble safely towing the L1 wherever your adventures take you. The overall design and dimensions keep you feeling safe on the road while being easy on your tow vehicle.

Aerodynamic

Let’s face it, although there have been some slight modifications, motorhomes are basically boxes being pulled through the air. A quick look at the L1 shows that this is not the case with this electric caravan.

Designing a caravan shaped to cut through the wind is critical, but Lightship didn’t stop there. The overall exterior height of 10′ is lowered by 3′ to a svelte 6′ 9″ in street mode for towing. When you stow the trailer behind your truck, you won’t even know it’s there.

Electric drive

As if a lowering trailer in the form of a race car wasn’t enough, the L1 uses its electric platform to provide electric drive assistance.

That’s right: this trailer actually helps you drive by reducing the power needed by the tow vehicle. For electric vehicles, this means no reduction in range between charges, and for gasoline vehicle owners, less money at the pumps!

Perfect blend of style and technology

Motorhome interiors are very similar, both in terms of style and features. Finding a motorhome with an interior that is different from all the others has become easier.

The L1’s ultra-modern exterior had to be matched with an equally unique interior. Carefully selected colors and materials complement the free-flowing floor plan to give you the perfect environment.

The open floor plan, combined with the 7′ 6″ interior height and picture windows, gives this camper a living space like no other on the market. In the washroom, an overhead shower, porcelain floors, and a view of the outdoors from the shower offer more spa-like character than you would expect in a motorhome.

All the modern conveniences of today’s RVs, including smart appliances, run on solar power without the need for propane or gas generators. This electric camper is in a league all its own when it comes to RV travel. But it’s not just in the RV that it shines; at home, when plugged into your house, the L1 becomes a backup power source for your home!
