The Keystone Cougar is a popular series of fifth wheels and travel trailers. Whether you plan to travel full time or enjoy weekend adventures, one of these vehicles could be just what you need.

However, with so many manufacturers in the industry, finding the right vehicle for your needs isn’t easy. It’s also important to remember that some are better than others.

Today we’re looking at the Keystone Cougar range to find out if it’s right for you. Let’s get started!

About Keystone

Keystone is a large RV manufacturer founded in 1996 by Cole Davis. His goal was to add as many features as possible to RVs and provide tremendous value to customers. Davis founded his team and set up shop in Goshen, Indiana.

The brand prides itself on its effortless shopping experience. When you search for RVs on the website, you can easily find the most important information about each RV. This means you no longer have to guess or search for details when comparing one vehicle to another.

Some of the most popular brands in the Keystone lineup include the Cougar, Montana, Outback, Passport and Springdale. More than a million owners have chosen Keystone motorhomes for their adventures. With worry-free customer service and the great Keystone Nation, you’re not alone. It’s easy to see why many choose Keystone motorhomes.

About the Keystone Cougar

The Keystone Cougar range was introduced in 1998, just a few years after Keystone was launched. It has become one of the most popular models in the brand’s arsenal. In 2020, the 200,000th Cougar was manufactured. When you look at the options and specifications, it’s easy to see why.

Keystone’s Cougar range is available as both a travel trailer and a fifth wheel. There are half-ton fifth wheels and travel trailers, premium fifth wheels and the Cougar Sport. Your choice depends on how you want to use your vehicle.

Regardless of whether you have a half-ton or full-size truck, there are a variety of options. There are models with an MSRP ranging from $40,000 to over $100,000. The models with the Climate Guard year-round protection have some of the best features that make them perfect for full-time, year-round camping.

Where is it made?

Keystone is headquartered in Goshen, Indiana. The company has more than one million square feet of manufacturing space in Goshen and Pendleton, Oregon. Due to the massive increase in demand, a third plant was opened in Goshen in 2021.

Scott Taylor, product manager at Keystone RV, told RV Pro that the new plant “will shorten lead times for units already sold that have been ordered by our dealers and will allow us to get back into inventory faster.” This is another example of the company doing whatever it takes to put customers first.

Other key features of the 25RDS include a large L-shaped work surface and an ensuite bedroom.

We also like the fact that the bedroom has its own entrance and exit so that guests are not disturbed in the living area. The electric fireplace is an excellent addition for chilly mornings.
